Lace Starter Kit

Since Lace making is not an everyday craft and the equipment is somewhat specialised we provide a starter kit for £30.00 which provides everything you will need to start making lace. You will soon become familiar with items such as lazy susan, lace pricker, pin lifter and pricker card which are all in the Starter Kit.

The starter kit pillow may look unfamiliar to you as the classic bobbin lace pillow is round and quite small. This is owing to the fact that people who used to earn a living making lace only made a small part of the finished lace which then was sewn to other parts to make the whole. You will be making the whole piece of lace so this type of pillow will be more practical for your needs.

Don't be frightened by the equipment as how to use it will soon become second nature. We always have lady teachers at the meetings who will help you accomplish your projects. Even the most seasoned lacers get stuck from time to time so freely sharing knowledge is the cornerstone of this group.

You will be guaranteed to make lace by the end of your first visit with us. Sorry, but by then you will be hooked on lace.
